OPEN GROUP

In order to ensure the fairness of the competition, the competition decided to adopt a "three-point" model, dividing the groups according to stage, age, and form into open group, professional group and team group.

CATEGORIES AND REPERTOIRE GUIDELINES

Repertoire Requirements

Toddlers (Ages 6 & under, born on or after January 1, 2020)

 Children’s Group A (Ages 7–8, born January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2019)

Children’s Group B (Ages 9–10, born January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2017)

Children’s Group C (Ages 11–12, born January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2015)

Teens’ Group A (Ages 13–15, born January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2013)

Teens’ Group B (Ages 16–18, born January 1, 2008 – December 31, 2010)

Youth (Ages 19–35, born January 1, 1991 – December 31, 2007)

●    One complete piece of your choice.
●    Performance time must not exceed 5 minutes.

●    One complete piece of your choice.
●    Performance time must not exceed 6 minutes.

●    One complete piece of your choice.
●    Performance time must not exceed 8 minutes.

●    One complete piece of your choice.
●    Performance time must not exceed 10 minutes.

●    One or two contrasting works of your choice (may include lyrical and technically demanding passages).
●    Total performance time must not exceed 12 minutes.

●    One or two contrasting works of your choice.
●    Total performance time must not exceed 12 minutes.

●    One or two contrasting works of your choice.
●    Total performance time must not exceed 15 minutes.

Other Notes
  1. All contestants must perform from memory.

  2. Except for recapitulations within the score itself, any repetitions marked with repeats are not permitted. Sonatas are limited to one movement.

  3. If a contestant exceeds the time limit, the judges or staff have the right to terminate the performance; this will not affect the scoring.

Qualification

The contestants who won the first and second prizes in the competition selection will be qualified to advance to the regional finals.
