CHAMBER ORCHESTRA ACCOMPANIMENT GROUP
In order to ensure the fairness of the competition, the competition decided to adopt a "three-point" model, dividing the groups according to stage, age, and form into open group, professional group and team group.
CATEGORIES AND REPERTOIRE GUIDELINES
In the modern educational system, top music conservatories around the world often offer chamber music classes for piano students. Through ensembles with various instruments, students can appreciate the unique musical charm of instruments beyond the piano.
Competitors in all categories of the Hanover International Piano Competition can contact the organizing committee to have their piano solo repertoire adapted for a professional chamber orchestra. With exclusive technical support from the Chicago Young Musicians Association, the organizing committee will adapt the competitors' piano works one-to-one into chamber music versions. The students' piano performance remains unchanged. This approach connects them to global musical standards while providing a fresh performance experience. Furthermore, chamber music ensembles can be considered a more complete expression of piano works.
Other Notes
-
All contestants must perform from memory.
-
If a contestant exceeds the time limit, the judges or staff have the right to terminate the performance; this will not affect the scoring.
-
Except for recapitulations in the score itself, any repetitions marked with repeats are not permitted. Sonatas are limited to one movement.

For contestants who wish to upgrade to chamber orchestra accompaniment, the organizing committee will arrange a pre-competition rehearsal (with professional performers) for performance purposes.
